Your
Letter

Dear No. 12,

It’s so good to hear form you! I hope you’re doing well. I’m not really sure how we became friends, think I might have been introduced to you at a party or maybe it was my roommate who introduced us. You’ve always just been there, a friendly face to smile at in passing, a good listener, and someone who never asks too many questions. We’re not the closest, but I’d like to get to know you more, more coffee chats… but sadly no longer at Urban Vintage :(

I remember seeing a quote you reposted on your story; I saved it. It is an image of text that reads, “I am sorry I confused you, for my abundance, I am sorry I expected you, to hold me through the night. I must first be my own moon, full, and capable, of carrying, my own, light,” signed Jen Fountain. I think that was the first time I connected with you, and realized I’m not alone in the way I’ve been feeling. Thank you for being open to conversation at both an individual and community level. That’s what this project is all about. I’m not trying to irradiate individual intimacy, but I want to normalize intimacy at a larger scale, building larger emotional networks, more support, more love.

Are you doing online classes? I’m back in Brooklyn so if you ever wanna grab coffee just reach out, or call for a chat! I’m sending my best regards, lots of love and support for the coming days!

Love,
Maura
