Your
Letter

Dear No. 04,

How are you? It’s been a while since I’ve seen you in person. Even though our physical proximity isn’t small, you’ve made yourself very much a part of my life. Anytime we talk, you make me feel warm and noticed. I have a tendency to disappear, but you don’t let me. If I make a call out into the void, you’re there to respond to me. Thank you.

You’re very open to discuss hard topics, and I love what you are doing with your art. There’s so much work that needs to be done with the world, but focusing on connections and reception are such important pillars of change. Thank you for all the work you are doing, it is being seen.

It’s so strange how we could grow up so physically close and never notice each other. I’m curious to know if we’d ever crossed paths before, and what we each were doing when we did. Either way, I’m happy we’ve found our way to each other and am excited to see where this friendship goes. If you ever want to come back to NYC, by door is always open. I know how toxic home can be, but I hope you take in all the beauties the city has to offer. I definitely miss it. Eat some pierogis for me, would ya?

I see you. I hear you. I love you!

Love,
Maura
